This figurine was just perfect. It is small enough that she can keep it on a table to remind her that even though she lost one friend, she still has many others. Don't let the picture fool you if you've never bought one of these figurines or held one - these are SOLID and HEAVY. Although they appear to be made of wood, they're actually made of a hardened, long-lasting resin. If I'm not mistaken, Susan Lordi begins by sculpting the figures out of wood, then makes a mould which is then used for production.I am giving this and other figurines only 4 out of 5 stars because of the wire wings/accessories. I'll admit that it's chiefly due to my clumsiness, but I have knocked these over before and the fragile wire pieces bend very easily. You can bend them back with no problem, but due to their fragility, I'm afraid that one day something will snap off. Also, if you have cats, be very careful.
